Before sunrise, while most of us are warm and asleep in our beds, these guys are out on the beach, going for their daily swim.

 

They swim every morning throughout the year, during the warm waters of summer right through the ice cold waters of winter.

They say the water wakes them up and helps them get going for the day.

 

They only have one rule, ‘no wet suits’. They obviously don’t fear the cold, hence their name, ‘The Ice Bergers’. Some of them are also part of the Mentone Life Saving Club, they live their life by the water.
